The legal procedure of transferring a property from one owner to another is referred to as conveyancing. You’ll require the assistance of a qualified solicitor if you want to buy, sell, or even remortgage a property. It’s critical to work with a conveyancing professional who is knowledgeable of the current property market. As the property market becomes more competitive, solicitors must move swiftly to finalize your transaction. Put your faith in the hands of a solicitor that has been hand-picked for you and has years of expertise to apply to your situation.

You might be wondering why you should choose My Conveyancing Specialist rather than one of the many local conveyancing firms available. Unlike high-street solicitors, we have streamlined the conveyancing procedure through the use of an optimised online service. We strive to relieve the stress and worry associated with property purchase or sale by offering a quick, efficient and affordable service.

During the conveyancing process, your solicitor will need to conduct checks on the property, your identity, and your financial stability. If any of these inspections are done incorrectly, significant delays may result. Working with a solicitor that is only dedicated to your case can provide you with the peace of mind you require to go through your transaction swiftly. We don’t focus on other aspects of law at My Conveyancing Specialist. This allows for faster completion, reducing your stress.

We strive to offer quick and efficient service while also making sure that the conveyancing procedure for your property is as cost-effective as possible. In addition, we provide low-cost estimates for our services, which are price matched across the UK. You won’t be able to locate a better price throughout the UK, and you’ll also benefit from our No Hidden Fee assurance. At My Conveyancing Specialist, we are firm believers in honesty. The price you get after submitting your quote is the final cost of your transaction. You’ll never find any bolt-on fees while using our services.

About Preston

Preston is a city and the administrative center of Lancashire, England. Preston has a population of 114,300 and lies at the center of the Preston/Chorley Urban Area, which had a total population of 193,000 in 2011. The Preston postal area includes the nearby towns of Longridge, Bamber Bridge and Fulwood. Preston and Preston Rural, which together form Preston’s urban area, have a total population of 132,322. Preston was granted the status of a city in 2002, becoming England’s 50th city in the 50th year of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign.

Preston was recorded in the Domesday Book as “Prestune” in 1086. Various other spellings occur in early documents, including ” Prestonam”, “Prestone”, ” Prestona” and even ” Preston”. The modern spelling occurs in 1094, 1176, and 1196.

Etymologically, the name Preston is derived from Old English Preston and means “priest’s settlement”. In the Middle Ages, Preston was a parish and township in the hundred of Amounderness and was granted a Guild Merchant charter in 1179, giving it the status of a market town. Preston subsequently became a center of textile manufacture during the early Industrial Revolution. Preston is noted for its prominent role in the Lancashire Cotton Famine when mill workers rioted in Preston and were later transported to Australia.

The Preston lockout of 1853-54 was a general strike involving Preston’s entire workforce, which lasted for two weeks and ultimately resulted in victory for the workers. In 1897, Preston was selected as a site for one of the UK’s first County Courts. The Preston by-election of 1908 was held after the sitting Liberal MP, Sir William Joynson-Hicks, was raised to the peerage as Viscount Brentford. The by-election was won by the Liberal candidate, Ernest Thurtle.
